The Technion will welcome the ammonia conference “New and Old in the Ammonia World” from 15-16 November.
The conference is being supported by Technion president, Prof. Peretz Lavie, and is organized by Prof. Gideon Grader and Prof. Danny Lewin of the Technion Chemical Engineering department.
It will focus on the local and global aspects of ammonia and how its production is vital for future sustainability, in areas from agriculture, to alternative energy. Indeed, it is a fundamental source of nitrogen and our modern agriculture would not be possible without ammonia which increases yields by hundreds of percent.
Some of the topics covered will be:
- Ammonia atmospheric transport
- Production of ammonia & global markets
- Ammonia safety and risk assessment
The conference will address the important topics of ammonia import and storage, featuring five international experts in the field.
